These are troubled times we live in. America's economy is fragile, our international reputation is tarnished, and our position as the preeminent super power in the world is in question for the first time in many decades. I believe many of these problems are at least partially psychological. Since the 9/11 attacks and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, America is being seen as vulnerable.
I am humbly petitioning we unite and create a monument to the spirit of America that will leave the world in awe. Something that people around the world will see and instantly think, "only in America, would that be possible." I believe the greatest architects and engineers should be brought in to collaborate on this project.
Let's declare in a unified voice, "We are America, and we can still amaze!"
