The minimum wage in this country has fallen (in terms of real dollars and their purchasing ability for a family) steadily over the past 30+ years. This is a national embarrassment, and with so many Americans struggling to get by, we as a people, a country, and a just society, need a living minimum wage. There is no alternative. Our social welfare systems are stressed to the maximum. If these job creators want to earn that title, let's see them create jobs. Not wage-slavery.
