Commit to keeping American troops out of harms way in Iraq.

The cost of war in Iraq has been huge indeed. It is estimated that the war cost over $1.7 trillion dollars, with an additional $400+ billion for treatment of current veterans. Most importantly, the Iraq war cost over 4,400 American lives who died in the line of duty, defending the United States and bettering the lives of those living in Iraq. While the situation in Iraq appears desperate due to the serious threat from groups aligned with ISIS, now is not the time to re-enter Iraq. The American people are sick of war, the families of our war fighters are sick of war, the U.S. debt cannot tolerate another war, and we cannot afford to lose more American lives. Please commit to keeping U.S. troops out of Iraq.
