The tax system for the United States is both complex and antiquated. The tax system is in fact so complex and obtuse that the average American has to consult with a tax professional to file their taxes.
We understand that bi-partisan support for any modification to the tax system is difficult to accomplish, but it must be done to keep the United States competitive in today's market.
We the people request that President Obama commit to simplifying the tax code by no later than December 31st 2014.
