Common Sense in Goverment: Accountability for Elected Officials and for Citizens

We as citizens of the USA should be concerned about ineffectiveness in our government. Do you have hope for the future if either party is elected? The issues I’m worried about are not even being addressed! Let’s compare our country’s practices to those of a successful business and declare some responsibilities for both legislators and citizens:

The Responsibility of Elected Officials:
1. Elected members of Congress shall work together to manage government successfully and keep it solvent. All budgets must be self sustaining, and aimed at reducing the deficit.
2. No acts of war or new international conflict shall be engaged in without a declaration of war approved by the Congress as required by our Constitution.
3. Elected officials, when finished with their term(s) of office, retain
