As you know, gun control is becoming a rather large issue in our county. Between school shootings and homicides throughout this nation many people are calling for tough gun laws, however this is primarily an URBAN problem. Federal intervention to ban "assault weapons and high-capacity magazines" seems inevitable. Though a law like this makes sense for places like New York City, LA, and Chicago, they simply have no place in rural areas, and therefore, shouldn't apply to rural areas. I purpose that these laws, restricting the ownership and sale of such weapons and magazines be accepted, but only within strictly high population density areas. A one-size-fits-all national gun law seems impractical for of us who live in non-urban areas.
