Gilgit Baltistan is a UNO declared disputed territory under Pakistani control and claimed by India. As India and Pakistan are trying to solve their disputes on bilateral level, China's involvement in Gilgit Baltistan with multi-billion dollar investments in energy and infrastructure building and stationing her military personnel is threatening the Indo-Pak CBMs and complicating the dispute. China's involvement is threatening control of natives over their land and depriving them from benefits from their resources. Chinese activities are also leading to environmental crisis including glacial melting at alarming rate and frequent earthquakes. USA government and the congress is therefore requested to intervene and persuade China to eliminate involvement in disputed Gilgit Baltistan.
