Commute John C. Kiriakou's prison sentence

Created by J.K. on January 05, 2013

Mr. Kiriakou, in his almost 15 years at CIA, served our country honorably as an analyst and risked his life as an overseas operative.

His disclosure of an agency officer's name to a reporter neither damaged national security nor was it his intent to do so. He publicly regrets his error.

Meanwhile, the government's prosecution has cost his wife (also an analyst at CIA) her job, has apparently bankrupted their family, and the prospect of his imprisonment has devastated his children.

That's punishment enough for a true public servant who loves his country (and the CIA) to this day. Let's commute Mr. Kiriakou's sentence now.
