Mumia Abu Jamal is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parol (reduced from a death sentence) at State Correctional Institution - Mahoney in Schuylkill Co, PA. Through numerous appeals state and federal courts refuse to acknowledge that a miscarriage of justice has taken place, even in the face of compelling evidence far beyond a reasonable doubt that points to Jamal's innocence. Therefore this petition seeks to respectfully request that President Obama give this case the full attention that it is due and pardon the aforementioned inmate.
