John Kiriakou spoke out against the CIA torture program begun under the Bush administration, exposing the egregious violations of international law and human rights that American citizens had the right to know were happening in our name with the approval of our government. As a result, he is being sent to prison for 30 months. Punishing him for his courageous stand to protect the Constitution and the honor of the United States is shameful. President Obama, please use the power of your office to do the morally correct thing: pardon him or commute his sentence.
