Carl Knight of Erie, Pennsylvania sentence of life in prison for a non violent conviction is extreme and inequitable.
Carl has already served 16 years of his life sentence for allegedly distributing crack cocaine. His conviction was based on testimony from other convicted drug dealers in exchange for reducing their own jail time.
No drugs, money or weapons was ever found in Mr. Knights possession nor discovered when searching his residency. However, he was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison under a system that our current administration has recognized as an "unfair system" and modified under the Fair Sentencing Act of 2010.
