Commute sentences of 20 yr. inmates being held on now archaic "life without parole" sentences for crack/cocaine.

Created by C.P. on December 09, 2012

We wish to address the horrendous sentencing of "life without parole" for thousands of men & woman american citizens for crack/cocaine crimes from 20 + years ago. These sentencing guidelines have since been changed because of their unusually cruel & unjust punishment. Although some sentences have been commuted, many, (for larger amounts of the drug) were not & many of these people sit in prison for over 20 years now, (meanwhile many convicted murderers, child molesters, rapists, etc. are set free within 2 to 6 years for their crimes)! Many of these "lifers" now have degrees/certifications etc. with work & home situations they could go home to, & be productive, positive members of society, help their families, & their release could ease the huge tax payer burden for housing them!
