We wish to address the horrendous sentencing of life without parole to thousands of men & woman american citizens for crack/cocaine crimes from 20 + years ago. These sentencing guidelines have since been changed because of their unusually cruel & unjust punishment. Althought some of these have been commuted, many (for larger amounts) of the drug were not & these people sit in prison for over 20 years now.. meanwhile many convicted murderers, child molesters, rapists, etc. are set free within a few years for their crimes. Many or most of these ppl have degrees/certifications now, business & living ops. where they could help their families ? be productive, positive members of society, & being released could ease the huge tax payer expense for housing them & huge relief on our economy!
