Companies downsizing should bear additional costs and not burden the government, economy and tax payers

Created by J.E. on September 24, 2011

Companies downsizing should pay an amount equivalent to unemployment for a period up to 24 months. Monies received from unemployment agencies are totally insufficient.

Companies downsizing should pay 100% of health insurance benefits for the employee and his family, if they risk losing coverage for a period up to 24 months.

The company should not burden the economy and tax payers because they wish to improve their profits and should be held socially responsible for their downsizing.

In these times where the government cannot afford to help more, companies should be made to shoulder more of the costs, it is ultimately to their advantage as it will allow even the unemployed to consume and participate in the economy.
