The 24 hour News stations admit that only a portion of their programs are actually facts. Most of the programming is opinions done for entertainment.
Because the term "news" implies reporting facts, there are a lot of people who believe these sensational stories.
They need to post disclaimers to let the viewers know which segments are news reports and which are sensationalized stories presented to enflame their audience.
