Compel the Dayton Municipal Court to grant Nicholas Alahverdian a jury trial and allow him to testify in his own defense

Created by N.A. on April 25, 2013

Nicholas Alahverdian, a former Harvard student, was unconstitutionally deprived of his right to a jury trial and the right to testify in his own defense by Judge Carl Sims Henderson of the Dayton Municipal Court in Ohio. Alahverdian was charged with two misdemeanors - there were no witnesses and no evidence - but he is now kicked out of Harvard and forced to register as a sex offender for fifteen years.

The prosecutor's complaining witness told a Sinclair Community College police officer that Alahverdian held her against a wall and masturbated when her boyfriend found out that she and Alahverdian shared a kiss. She did this to protect her relationship with her boyfriend.

Each time Alahverdian demanded a jury trial, the judge told him to "shut up."
