Doctors have been cutting Temporary Pacing Wires after open heart surgery thinking that no damage will be caused by them. The FDA and Manufactures indicate that these wires are to be removed. If they refuse to remove them they must provide a card to the patient with reason. Those wires have caused punctures in the organs, migrated to the jaw, punctures to the heart and lungs. These leads must be removed in 4 days or the patient is reopened and remove the sutures to these leads that are cut and a longer hospital stay is permitted . Tightly stitched wires are the doctors fault not the patients and the extra cost should be on the doctors not the patients. All patients who have these wires should be contacted and the card provided.
