Compel The FCC To Pursue And Put A Stop To Unsolicited Telemarketing Scams

Created by K.C. on February 10, 2013

Every day, thousands of Americans receive illegal telemarketing phone calls. These telemarketers are often running scams to deceive unsuspecting individuals into sharing their CC #'s or other personal info.

Even worse than the scams is that those responsible for the unwanted calls are also making money from the phone companies. They do this by operating a carrier database that charges for looking up the caller ID info for the specific telemarketing phone #'s used. Profits are shared between the telemarketers and the carriers. An excellent summary can be found at: telemarketerspam.wordpress.com.

This deceptive practice has been going on for too long, it violates our Do Not Call Registry requests and it violates FCC regulations. Please get the FCC to investigate and stop these companies.
