Compel GSA to Terminate the Old Post Office Lease for Trump Hotel due to Breach of Contract and Conflicts of Interest

Created by K.B. on November 29, 2016

President Elect Donald Trump will be in breach of his contract for the Old Post Office building in Washington, DC the moment he takes office. The Old Post Office building lease states explicitly: “No … elected official of the Government of the United States … shall be admitted to any share or part of this Lease, or to any benefit that may arise therefrom[.]” It is incumbent upon the GSA and the White House to ensure the integrity of our government's procurement programs and to ensure that Donald Trump does not have the ability to inflict improper pressure on government officials tasked with protecting the American public.

The GSA must take action now to prevent such a breach of contract and clear conflict of interest.
