Indecent images of children posted on the internet are de facto evidence of the commission of serious sexual crimes against minors. Those who choose to view such images are in part guilty of the violation of the children seen on their computer Those who purchase such images are not only guilty of those crimes but pay for the commission of other crimes against vulnerable and innocent youngsters.
The ISPs should be compelled to take active steps to prevent their services being used for the commission and furtherance of serious sexual offences against children. There can be no moral argument in support of their not doing so.
