Compel members of the U.S. Senate to not "Play Politics At The Expense Of Trafficking Victims"

Created by R.L. on March 12, 2015

Senate Democrats have objected to an abortion-related provision in a Cornyn bill to increase penalties for human trafficking and add protection for victims.

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) today addressed Senate Democrats’ threat to filibuster the bipartisan Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act.
‘My hope is this: that Members of the United States Senate will rise above…this posturing, this attempt to try to play gotcha at the expense of these victims of human trafficking.’
