Compel Social Media Co's to add a "report to authorities" button, and compel legislators to support it with legislation.

Each time we hear an account of a citizen committing an act of dire consequence, it seems to always follow w/ tandem news that they posted ominous messaging on some form of social media of the impending act. The idea of a "report to authorities" button, next to "like" buttons in social media, would only work if companies & government collaborate to create an effective process & supporting governance to establish a common and corporately embraced emergency network (a modern "911" system via the internet). Legislation should including disincentives for misusing the button, rules for routing the information to local authorities, and appropriate limits on information sharing as appropriate.
