Redskin is a racial slur towards Native Americans. Dan Snyder must rename his Washington football team to respect all individuals. We would not tolerate a team called the Negros or Jews, so why should we allow a team that disrespects Native Americans. Having the name for 60 + years does not make it acceptable. The Civil War was started because the South was proud of their past of owning slaves and they felt it their right to do so. Dan Snyder feels it is his right because they are proud of who they are. The President says we need to accept all for who we are, however he tolerates a team in his backyard to continue using racial insults.
