We ask our representatives, stewards of industry, and those in the scientific community, to heed the public unrest, continued economic issues, and worsening ecological problems that our nation and our world face and recognize that our socio-economic paradigm is at the end of its useful lifespan and that it must be retired for a more sane means of meeting the needs of all while ensuring the enduring presence of humanity on Earth.
Offered as example is the Resource Based Economy model as proposed by The Venus Project (www.TheVenusProject.com), the basic tenets of which are widely supported by many groups and movements that are forming globally.
