Compensate the President of the United States on the basis of the average American income. Which is currently $44,389

Created by R.F. on January 18, 2013

I humbly propose that an American President should not collect more than 99% of his or her constituents. But rather, should make as much as the average American worker, which is $44,389 a year. By doing so, 'We the People' will have more economic and social equality to our top government official. The American President today earns $400,000 annually from taxpayer dollars. While many Americans today are being laid off, taxed more and suffering pay cuts, politicians in Washington are receiving substantial raises and larger pension plans every year. It's time to stop the spending madness and ask our democratically elected President to cutback as well.
