complete a process of self determination, statehood and equality to 3.8 million American citizens living in Puerto Rico.

Created by J.R. on January 03, 2016

The Puerto Rico-USA Foundation request a process of self-determination conducted in 2016 in Puerto Rico to bring equality and basic democratic rights through statehood to 3.8 million American citizens who live in a second class type citizenship lacking representation not been able to elect our President or representation in Congress.
Our territorial status provides for an economic model that has proven to be ineffective in today's world.
Residents in Puerto Rico should enjoy the same democratic principles that our government demands from all countries in the world where people should be able to elect their ruling officials and the concern of the governed is respected.
Only with a plebiscite and statehood will the territory be able to enjoy economic development and a fair quality of life.
