Law enforcement (more specificly police officers) have been abusing this big thing known as Civil Asset Forfeiture, which has lead to corruption in the justice and legal system. This allows officers to sieze any asset, be it money, house, or even your car, without any reason, whether a crime has been commited or not, but more often the latter. Such a policy is abused mostly in due to the fact that it is a way for them to acquire money by assaulting its own citizens.
This in itself is robbery. Police officers should be protecting their citizens and their rights, not abusing their rights and taking their livelihood and hard-earned life away from them.
There needs to be a MAJOR reform in the Civil Asset Forfeiture policy, or a complete removal so law enforcement officers cannot abuse this .
