Completely abstain from the use of the US military and use only diplomacy to intervene in Syria.

Created by C.R. on August 27, 2013

Any loss of life is tragic and a government's use of chemical weapons against its own people is deplorable, but US military intervention in Syria should not be an option.

The use of the US military to intervene in the Middle East in the 21st century has proven incredibly costly and largely ineffective. The American people do not benefit from the use of US military resources in the Middle East and it only continues to drive our deficit upward.

The US should condemn the acts of the Syrian government and should use all diplomatic options available to end the violence there, but military action must not be an option.
