Completely legalize recreational marijuana use in the U.S.

If drugs were legal, it would help the economy and drastically lower the crime rate. About half of the U.S. admit to smoking marijuana. Marijuana causes short-term effects which relax the body and do not cause violent or dangerous behavior. In countries in which the recreational use of drugs, including marijuana, is legal, the crime rate is significantly than than America's. In Amsterdam, which is one of the countries described above, the police are not even required to carry a firearm because the crime rate is so low. One of the main reasons drugs are not legal is to keep the poor from making money.
