The petition for Texas to "peacefully withdraw from the United States of America and create it's own government" is sheer foolery. For an individual to suggest such drastic measures less than one week after the election is sheer foolery. For an individual to be completely resistant to their own democratic government, instead of compromising, is sheer foolery. It's apparent to me and many others that the signees of the buffoonish petition haven't thoroughly contemplated the consequences of Texas seceding. How can a "republic" claim to be a republic and refuse to work with others for the common good of the people?...It's a bit contradicting. The petition for Texas to secede is superficial, and therefore shouldn't even be taken into consideration.
