Comprehensive legislation to allow US citizens to obtain free and easy access to vote, superseding cumbersome state law

Created by L.I. on March 16, 2016

All US citizens need to be involved in the political process to obtain adequate representation. Obstacles exist at the state level, are inconsistent throughout the states, and are hindering true democracy in our country. Free and easy access to voting should be a right and requirement for all.

1. States to provide same-day voter registration for those not pre-registered, and on-line voting
2. States to provide transportation to and from polling locations on election days (e.g. bus service, train service, taxi service. Free, reimbursed, or tax break for those using it).
3. Prior to elections, federal government must provide to each citizen necessary federal identification required to prove citizenship at polling locations, regardless of wether or not person can afford to purchase it
