Currently, there are several lists of individuals deemed to be selected for enhanced scrutiny regarding U.S. air travel. These taxpayer-funded lists are:
1) The No Fly List
2) The Terrorist Watch list (Terrorist Screening Database)
This petition is to:
a) Review, scrutinize and provide explanation via FOIA for each and individuals on these lists within reason,
b) Require all individuals on said lists to receive additional scrutiny when purchasing any firearm, including potentially banning said individuals from purchasing semi-automatic weaponry, and/or additional background checks and longer wait periods when registering to purchase a firearm.
If we are to maintain such lists, we must not target individuals unnecessarily, but also use them further protect Americans fairly.
