Compromise with Congress on a mix of loophole-closing and rate increases to total $1.6 trillion in new revenue.

Created by J.S. on December 03, 2012

The Obama administration wants $1.6 trillion in new tax revenue over the next 10 years. Our country needs this money to help address its long-term deficit problem.

But the methods of obtaining this new revenue shouldn't matter.

The administration should compromise on the methods and work with Congressional leaders to determine a combination of loophole-closing and tax rate increases that will yield the necessary $1.6 trillion.

Compromise will solve the fiscal cliff.
