Compromise on immigration: Do not let people who came here illegally become citizens but permanent residents only.

They came here illegally. The ultimate penalty is they will never have direct vote. Their children will be legal. They themselves can stay as long as they are law-abiding from now on. But to allow them to become voters who can vote themselves more forgiveness and benefits is not reasonable. Either go back out and come back legally, or stay and forever be a foreign national here legally. No other country can complain that their nationals are being treated poorly. No immigrant can claim they live in fear as long as they do not break laws. No citizen will fear the 11 million who are here illegally will now vote themselves more benefits. Their descendants, like all the rest of us, will be citizens whom, if you trace their lineage back far enough, came from elsewhere. A reasonable compromise.
