A compromise on immigration

The Democrats want amnesty, the Republicans want border control. Why can't we have both? They argue over immigration but are talking about 2 different problems. We can solve both problems with a simple compromise. We bring the troops home and secure the border. More Americans are being killed by the cartels and gang violence from drug trafficing than from terrorists overseas. We can protect more Americans and get our soldiers out of harms way by relocating them to our borders. There still is the problem of millions of undocumented and illegal immigrants living here. They live, work, have families here like all of us, but can't become citizens under current immigration laws. They need a fast track to citizenship so they can become an asset to our society. I petition we all compromise.
