Concurrent receipt of VA disability and military retirement pay for all medically retired veterans with less than 20 yrs

Created by M.G. on November 12, 2012

During his first presidential campaign while addressing the VFW: President Obama promised the VFW that he will work to bring justice to disabled Veterans who were forced to retire from military due to medical conditions incurred while in service (Chapter 61). He promised that he will authorize medically retired service members; regardless of time in service will concurrently receive VA disability compensation as well as military retired pay. Many veterans who was a career soldier was forced to retire because of medical injuries incurred while serving in the military. The military forcibly retired this people. Thru no fault of their own; unlike those disabled veterans with 20+ years; this group of disabled veterans became in-eligible for concurrent receipt.
