The Roman Catholic Church is one of the world's largest, oldest, and most influential religions. As of 2011, nearly 1.2 billion people claimed to be members of this much-esteemed body, and the Pope is a lauded figure with considerable influence. He visits countries on every continent to instruct his followers in how to live, and to offer his advice to political leaders on matters such as disease control, morality, science, and other things about which he is IN NO WAY qualified to preach! This religious organization is infamous for its hindrance of education, women's and children's health, scientific progress, social justice, and most infamously of all, the prosecution of sex offenders.
As a country, let's tell the Church to take the plank out of its own eye!
