In the recent decades, while witnessing the rapid economic growth of China, the political status there is not catching up with the same pace. Instead, the human rights situation there has declined a lot particularly since the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests. Corruption of government officials, persecution of citizens who are willing to fight for their freedom like Liu Xiaobo, the blockade of news and information, to name but a few. As a global citizen, we express concerns to such injustice
and demand the Obama administration to response and urge China to accelerate its pace of political reform.
