Net neutrality is paramount to securing freedom of speech and ensuring a free and open market for economic growth especially, but not exclusively, in the tech sector.
Comcast recently successfully extorted internet movie provider, Netflix, into paying them a premium to stream content to its users.
What's most troubling about this is, in an attempt to place added pressure on Netflix to agree to the unjust deal, Comcast engaged in domain based throttling of users connections (connections already paid for by, and in direct violation of, those users' monthly contracts with Comcast).
Not only is such behavior bullying and immoral, but it's a step back from the progress this nation has made towards maintaining a free and open web.
We demand such behavior be explicitly prohibited!
