The Muslim Brotherhood, a grassroots organization that promotes moderate Islam, has been an integral part of the Egyptian society. The killing, torture and imprisonment of its members, did not change its belief in the holiness of preservation of human life and that violence is not a means to fight back.
The declaration of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization will promote violence. It is a call to other groups to consider violence as the only way to regain freedom as tweeted by Al-Shabaab, "It is time to remove those rose-tinted spectacles and see the world as accurately as it is, change comes by the bullet alone; NOT the ballot."
For our national security, we ask the Obama administration to condemn the ranking of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt as a terrorist organization.
