Condemn the Killing and Looting of Somali People and their Businesses in South Africa

We, concerned Americans citizen, are writing to express our concerns about the continued killing, robbing, looting, and inhumane treatment of Somali immigrants/refugees living in South Africa. Over the past several years, there has been an increase of xenophobic activities directed towards Somali immigrants/refugees that have resulted in loss of lives, properties and human dignity. There have been reports of unrest in multiple regions across South Africa targeting anyone of Somali descent with cowardly, inhumane, and unwarranted attacks. It is utterly shameful that the South African government sees these horrific actions within its borders, yet, remains silent.
Just this past week, armed South African thugs vandalized, burned down shops, maimed, and murdered several businesses owners.
