condemn the mass torture, slaughter, and consumption of dogs for the event held in Yulin China on June 22nd.

Every year mass torture, slaughter and consumption of dogs occur for the summer solstice event commonly known as the “Dog Meat Festival” to be held on June 22 in Yulin, China. Not only will the dogs suffer immensely during the difficult and long journey to Yulin, they will then be subjected to being beaten and ultimately slaughtered while being fully conscious. The images are horrific. Few Americans can imagine the atrocities that will occur to these poor helpless animals. Many are pets that are stolen and then sold into this horrific event. We must strongly condemn China for allowing this and use any diplomatic means necessary to try to stop this. I ask that each of you look at your own pets and imagine what their fellow canine will be put through. We can stop this.
