The ncaa has ruled once-homeless football player Silas Nacita ineligible because he accepted help from a close family friend in order to have a place to live. He is a walkon at Baylor University. The NCAA rules are meant to champion student athletes who work hard both on and off the field. Here is a case of a young man who has done just that but punished for it. Nowhere did his actions give any recruiting edge, unfair competitive advantage, or monterary profit to anyone involved. This is a simple case of human rights and hard work. The NCAA should be ashamed of itself.
