On January 29, 2011, Hillary Clinton told Mubarak: "We urge the Egyptian authorities not to prevent peaceful protests."
On October 25, 2011, Oakland Police told the People: "I hereby declare this to be an unlawful assembly. If you refuse to go now, chemical agents will be used."
The Obama Administration needs to be consistent in their protection of the right to peaceful assembly within our own country and condemn the overreactions of Police Departments in cities that have used violence against Occupy Wall Street protesters.
