The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar is already the deadliest World Cup ever. Deplorable working conditions are estimated to lead to thousands of deaths by the time of the Cup in what is, in essence, slave labor.
Qatar has promised changes, but is moving as sluggish as possible. International and economic pressure is needed to provide motivation for change.
We the People ask the Obama Administration to condemn the abuses in Qatar and FIFA for its part in allowing them. We ask the Administration to pressure businesses sponsoring the World Cup, and to encourage US and World citizens to boycott the World Cup and its sponsors.
