Turkey recently eliminated the age limit for adults to have sexual relations with children. This policy violates all standards of decent, normal human behavior and greatly harms the children affected by this abominable policy. We call on the Administration to denounce this policy in the harshest terms possible. In addition, we should eliminate any and all support of the Turkish state, whether the support be military or economic, until a reasonable age limit for sexual relations is once again established. Finally, we call on the United States to remove restrictions on Turkish minors to immigrate to our shores, and provide immediate safe haven for all refugees from the Turkish government's harmful policies.
