Condemn Uganda for it's "kill the gays" bill and sever all economic and diplomatic ties until it respects human rights

Created by G.W. on December 22, 2013

Uganda recently passed a sickening bill outlawing homosexuality and condemning LGBT people to death. This is an affront to human decency and a clear violation of basic human rights. As human beings, we cannot accept such vile policies existing anywhere in the world, and we must respond by refusing to recognize Uganda with diplomacy, foreign aid, or any trade (imports or exports) until their government treats all of their citizens with basic human decency.

This petition calls on the President, the Secretary of State, and the UN Ambassador to formally condemn Uganda and do everything in their power to block all foreign aid and trade to Uganda up until the American people are satisfied that LGBT Ugandans have equal rights and equal protections under law.
