Since 2009, the Bureau of Land Managment (BLM) has sold at least 1,700 wild horses and burros to Tom Davis, a Colorado resident. Mr. Davis is a livestock hauler and a neighbor of Ken Salazar, the Secretary of the Interior. Tom Davis is a longtime advocate of horse slaughter and the news media reports that Mr. Davis said, "Hell, some of the finest meat you will ever eat is a fat yearling colt." Neither the BLM nor the Department of the Interior knows what happened to the 1,700 wild horses and burros sold to Tom Davis, and Davis refuses to tell where they have gone. The Whitehouse should conduct an investigation immediately so the public knows the truth.
