"If an institution is too big to fail, it is too big to exist." - Sen. Bernie Sanders (VT)
The courts have no issue sending an average consumer to prison for check fraud. The courts had no issues sending Martha Stewart to prison for insider trading. So what makes the responsible parties in our two largest banks "not personally responsible" for manipulating interest rates, exchange rates, and the global economy? Billions of people have been effected by these actions, and yet they are slapped with fines which are simply drops in the bucket for them. JP Morgan and Citibank have combined assets of over $4 trillion dollars - $4,000,000,000,000.
We need America, our government, to stand up for our people and stop letting big banks off the hook for their wrongdoings.
