It has become glaringly evident that the Congress that is supposed to act on behalf of the people of the U.S.A. is instead acting on behalf of the corporations that either contribute to their campaigns or offshore bank accounts.
Congress is able to pass laws that they are exempt from and levy taxes that they do not have to pay--all with no term limits. Whenever an organization has that much power corruption will inevitably start to take hold.
It is time the citizens of the U.S.A. are empowered to do something about this. This petition is merely asking for a special election for Congressional term limits. Putting this to a popular vote will ensure that the voices of the people, not corporations, can be heard.
Of the people, by the people, and FOR THE PEOPLE, not, "For the corporations."
